What is

Versus League?

Not for profit. All for fun.

Versus League is a non-profit that brings fun competitions to schools around Stockholm. Every week we visit different schools and host events during the afterschool (or "fritids") part of the day.

Events include a variety of physical activities, games, and quizzes, with new events offered every month. Schools earn points for their results in each event.

At the end of the school year, we host a day of events where schools compete for the very prestigious and moose-themed Versus League Cup.

Students of all ages are eligible to participate. All events are held on school premises and conducted in English.

How to Join

Our goal is for Versus League to be accessible to everyone.

Versus League is a non-profit organization and schools pay nothing to participate. We provide all equipment, materials, and staff. All you have to do is provide a place for us to set up and host the event.

Schools can participate in as many Versus League events as they like. There are no subscriptions, minimums, or commitments required.

Frequently asked questions

When and where do Versus League events happen?

Versus League events take place during the school day — during break time, lunch, or after school. We're flexible and can work around the schedule that best fits your students.

We set up our events at your school in a common area, the school yard, or the PE hall if you have one on site.

How can I advertise the event?
  • Put up posters around school (we provide the posters each month!)

  • Announce the Versus League event on your school communication platform

  • Announce the event during idrott / PE class

What if my school can participate only occasionally?

That’s ok! No matter how many Versus League events you attend, you're still eligible to participate in the end-of-year event and compete for the Versus League Cup.

How is Versus League good for my school?

Versus League events build collaboration skills, school spirit, and excitement, and they give students the chance to be active, which has a range of benefits from increased self-esteem to reduced stress. Studies have shown that regular physical activity and collaborative challenges have a positive impact on students' social skills, emotional well-being, and academic performance. Children who are active with physical activities also tend to spend less time on mobile devices and gaming.
